Sete Cidades Lake
It is located in the western part of the island. It is the largest volcanic crater with - 18.6 Km2 where, out of curiosity, can fit the smaller island of the Archipelago called Corvo Island. Inside this crater is the charming Blue and Green Lagoon, and the Lagoa de São Tiago, among others.
On the west coast, there is an area called "Ferraria" where, when the tide is low, you can feel warm water, with temperatures around 30 to 50 degrees, a unique opportunity to take a hot bath in the Atlantic Ocean. There is also the possibility of visiting one of the worlds best ananás, grown in greenhouses.
Located in the middle of the island, it is a protected natural reserve, with one of the most beautiful lagoons of the island, emerald green color, and the Caldeira Velha further down, with the hot and iron waterfall and exotic vegetation
In Ribeira Grande, the Liquor Factory, which has as main production the award-winning Passion Fruit liquor (in which it won 6 gold medals in competitions in Europe), and other types of liquor. In the Lagoon, you can enjoy the Ceramic Factory.
Está localizado no meio, mas mais a Nordeste da ilha, onde pode encontrar as Caldeiras ( fumarolas ), e um dos sítios mais ricos da Europa em àguas termais e medicinais

Furnas is close to the only tea plantation in Europe (where green tea and 3 types of black tea are produced)
It is located in the northeast part of the island, as its name indicates, is the greenest, most florid and most protected area of São Miguel, 20% of the Northeast is forest. It has a very dramatic and mountainous landscape, has the most beautiful and most organized picnic parks on the island. This is also where the waterfall of Ribeira dos Caldeirões and Salto da Farinha is located. In this direction has the Village of the Povoação the first settlement of the island, where the first Portuguese settlers landed.
In Furnas, you can also taste the traditional and famous "Cozido das Furnas", consisting of beef, chicken, pork, chorizo, black pudding, potatoes, sweet potatoes, yams, carrots, cabbage and cabbage. All these condiments are cooked in an aluminum pan, in holes below the ground with 1 meter in height, for 6 hours. It is recommended to order the day before.
